The Cellar is a beautiful restaurant with candle lit tables, local artist's paintings that are displayed on the walls, and a glass wall in the kitchen which allows you to watch your meal be prepared. They have really friendly and professional staff members that are ready and excited to serve you. The Cellar is closed on Mondays but open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm, Friday through Saturday from 5 pm to 10 pm, and on Sunday from 5 pm to 9 pm and the cocktail bar opens at 4 pm. They are located downtown in the historic city of Geneseo, in a 130 year old building, on the lower level, which is known as the Geneseo building. They are a very nice restaurant with amazing food. Come and try it out and you will not be disappointed.
The appetizers include Shrimp Cocktail, Charcoal Barbecue Ribs, Pan Fried Chicken Livers, Fresh Deep Fried Mushrooms, Fresh Deep Fried Cauliflower, Fresh Deep Fried Onion Rings, and Charcoal Barbecue Shrimp. Beef based meals include: Filet Mignon, Filet Tips, Top Sirloin, Small Top Sirloin, Sirloin Tips, Rib Eye Steak, Ground Sirloin, and you can add to any entree: Sauteed Mushrooms, Sauteed Onions, Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions. Pork based meals include: Barbecue Charcoal Ribs and Charcoal Pork Chops. Their fowl based meals include: Charcoal Duckling Basted with Orange Sauce, Chicken Livers Pan fried, Charcoal Chicken Breast, and Deep Fried Chicken. They also have a section of seafood for you to pick from. Those options are Charcoal Broiled Cold Water-Lobster Tails With drawn butter, Charcoal Broiled BBQ Shrimp-Basted with barbecue sauce and Served with drawn butter, Filet of Walleye Pike-Charcoal or deep fried & Served almondine, and Channel Catfish- Charcoal or deep fried. The dessert options include Triple Chocolate Layer Cake, Carrot Cake, and The Big Blitz.
